  1. Large for Gestational Age

I realize that surrogate pregnancies are different then our own but it makes me sick when providers use scare tactics and FALSE information to freak us out. did you know that over 70% of the things done to pregnant women is NOT EVIDENCE BASED? it's ridiculous. I'm a Student Midwife and come from a VERY different place when it comes to pregnancy and birth.
  2. Post Birth emotions?

I can share. I was a TS for 3 different couples. Personally I've had a very easy time but there are lots of reasons for that. The only regret of any sort I have is that my first couple LIED to me about contact after birth and that really hurts. But you are strong! And no matter what happens, you'll be okay. If you have any specific questions, let me know.
  3. I'm in the camp of it's "none of their business" even if it's your mom. But it's to late now to take it back so you're just going to have to deal with it. Keep talking to her about it and hopefully she will come around. She will probably be concerned about your emotions though, be prepared for that.
  4. How long do contracts take?

anywhere from a day to a month, Stay on top of your lawyer to get it done!!!!
  5. Gonna Be a GS!

Hey ladies! It's nice to see some familiar faces around here. I'm on the hunt now for a couple to be a GS! I'm super excited. I'm sad to see the boards are not as active as they used to be. Where did everyone go? Whats the best way to find IP's now days?
  6. Gestational Fee

My first surrogacy was for $10,000 because that is the number "I" was comfortable with.
  7. Placenta fragments

Cytotec is an Ulcer Medication that is not FDA approved for use with anything other then treating ulcers.
  8. Placenta fragments

I know of that drug. It's often used for miscarriage and even for inducing labor. I have heard some scary stuff about it when used to induce labor. I know that it is much safer when used for miscarriage. I don't think I'd wait though, especially if you are wanting to breastfeed or establish a milk supply. And with a possible uterine infection looming. I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this.
  9. Selective Reduction

Does it bother anyone else how the RE was so cavalier about?
  10. Selective Reduction

I could never reduce for this reason. I would agree to transferring 3 but I could never agree to reduce. Good Luck.
  11. Making Cupcakes and Muffins

  12. 3 weeks and feeling like s**t

If your milk production was low or nil, I'd guess it was retained placenta. Something is definitely off. I hope you can get to the bottom of this soon!
  13. Hey there neighbor!!

  14. Budha belly

even with twins your uterus should go back to normal size in just days. Your abdominal muscles will be stretched to heck though and those will take some time to get back to normal. If by chance it is your uterus, this is serious and you need to be seen soon. After 7 pregnancies, my stomach is all stretched out and the even though it is squishy(from a layer of fat), the muscles underneath are firm just stretched out. Also, after surgery, most people have a LOT of extra fluids and will be swollen and bloated for a few weeks afterwards. (blah!) The hardness you are feeling in and around your scar sounds normal though. Just healing and stuff. Watch for redness, hot to the touch, unexplained swelling, stuff like that.....that would indicate an infection.
