I have had Hep C testing done in the past and tested positive to the HCV Antibody.  With further testing I received a negative viral load.  Meaning the virus is no longer active .From my understanding it will always so positive for the antibodies.  Would that disqualify me automatically?

I don't know much about HCV other than there is no vaccine or way to prevent transmission during pregnancy.

I would say, personally, why risk it for someone else's baby? Surrogacy is exorbitantly expensive and the outcome of a healthy baby is never guaranteed. Why add a known risk to all the other possibilities - even if the risk is small?
