Surrogacy Forum: Surrogate Mothers, Intended Parents and Egg Donors: how old were you when you did your first Surrogacy? - Survey Says - Surrogacy Forums
21 when I got pg. I was young, possibly too young. Thankfully every RE I know will NOT transfer with someone under 21. I was done with my family and stable in my own home etc. So I guess I was one of the odd ones. I was a GS too, so I tink that helps. I don't think any TS should be under 25 at least.
I got matched at 19.. pregnant the month after I turned 20. Delivered at 20.
I did it young, but i went through more then "normal" surrogacy testing. I am in it to carry for a friend so the RE was okay with it but I had to have 6 months of physo, and medical testing to make sure.
Started doing serious research at about 24, but didn't get to a place that I knew I would be at long enough to complete a journey so I was 30 by the time I started my first journey.
Erin, I think I agree, TSs should be older than GSs. More life experience and more knowledge about themselves.
I was 40 when I started researching, 41 when matched, 42 when I delivered my first surroson. I'm 43 now and getting ready to transfer, which means I'll be 44 when I deliver!
Started researching (not including when I did before I had my daughter) a little while before turning 20. Applied to the agency a week after my 21st b-day. Delivered my surrobaby at 22. Had my surrotwins at 23. I am 25 now.
Started researching after DD, but I was still under 21 and knew it would be even harder to match so I waited a few years, had DS. Then started looking into it again at 23, got preggo and delivered at 24.
Started research at 31, 1st couple three failed transfers, 2nd couple one failed transfer, 3rd couple preggo the first time delivered at 35, 4th couple preggo first time delivered at 37
Don't think I'll do this again`
