Baby Mark is here!!!

I woke up just after midnight on 10/19 with my water slowly but surely leaking. Called the OB and was told to go to the hospital. Tests confirmed that it was indeed amniotic fluid and I was admitted.

I was not hardly contracting and was given pitocin. In a matter of a few hours, the baby's heart rate dropped below 70 twice so they decided to do a c-section. I was so scared, I shook from the moment the heart rate fell the second time until the medicine wore off after the c-section.

Good news is that he was born healthy. At 37 weeks 5 days, he measured in at 7.08 pounds and 19 1/2 inches. He has a head full of dark brown hair and absolutely gorgeous.

We were both released from the hospital this morning (10/21).

My sister and her husband are going to be in-town until 11/2 so that gives me lots more time to spend with my new nephew. Everyone that meets him falls in love with him!!! I feel so blessed to have been able to experience this with my sister and her family!

I's sorry you had a scare about the heart rate. but what a great weight he is! Do you have any pictures? I hope you have a relaxing recovery! Have fun visiting with him. Congrats to everyone
